PAUL stands for digitization, artificial intelligence and smart hydraulic balancing of building technology. But not only. We are also familiar with the manual side of running real estate. We are just as much researchers and developers as we are practitioners. PAUL emerged from a sanitary facility in which work had already been done on automating the drinking water system at the end of the 1990s. The potential for saving energy discovered there finally led to PAUL in 2017, a tech company that set out to solve one of the biggest problems of our time: high energy consumption and harmful CO₂ emissions from buildings.

PAUL received the Smart WoWi Award in 2018 and the DFLW Award in 2019 in the drinking water category. In 2020 PAUL was included in the ZIA innovation report. In 2022, PAUL won the PropTech Germany Award as the overall winner - and also in the building and energy efficiency category. PAUL is a permanent member of the energy and building technology and housing committees of the ZIA (Central Real Estate Committee). PAUL is involved as a supporting member of DigiWoh, the competence center for digitization in the housing industry, and as a cooperation partner of the VDIV Baden-Württemberg. As a member of the German Association for Air and Water Hygiene (DFLW), we have our finger on the pulse of developments in drinking water.
